Why graphic design?

I have always loved art ever since I could remember. The artist role has always been downplayed, not seen as “a real job”. I felt lost because of that, having this ability I didn’t know how to share it with the world, until

I discovered graphic design. It had always seemed as a “marking” kind of job I dismissed constantly. Finally, I decided to give it a shot and I fell in love. A new creative part of my brain had been discovered and using my artistic ability as problem solving felt new.

Culture

I am Mexican-American. I wouldn’t be where I am today without my parents, my whole family. Growing up Mexican, has not only shaped the way I see the world, but how I see art and the power it can hold. I dearly and truly hold all Mexican culture in my heart so deeply, there is a sense of warmth and nostalgia to it. In the media growing up, I never saw myself or my culture. Being able to create Mexican inspired designs or giving latino businesses a voice in the world to stand out is what I love doing.
